“ The BEST okonomiyaki I have ever had! I hate when people say that, but it's really true for me this time. I have tried this in numerous restaurants across the US (we have not yet made it to Japan, but it's on our short list) and these guys nailed it! It was actually a pancake, and it was fluffy, and filled with scallions and flavor. The pork belly melted in your mouth. Every other dish we had was also lip-smacking delicious. We've never had marinated quail eggs, and we swooned over these. The asparagus yakitori was beautifully charred, and the tempura shitakes were creamy goodness. Just wow! Service was attentive and fast. If we make it back to Quebec, we'll definitely return here. Also, what a great value! ”

“ Unexpected Michelin delight in Québec City On our third day in Québec City, I was craving something warm, brothy, and familiar. A quick Google search led me to Honor Izakaya, just a few minutes from our hotel — and as we approached, I noticed a Michelin Recommendation 2025 sticker on the door. Expectations officially raised. We arrived at 5:33 PM and the izakaya section was already full, so we went with ramen — and it did not disappoint. I ordered the miso ramen, which came with tender pork, bok choy, shiitake mushrooms, and a soft-boiled egg. The broth was rich and savory, slightly salty but deeply satisfying. Everything was perfectly balanced, and exactly what I needed after days of Western food. Friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and now I understand why it caught Michelin’s eye. A lovely little spot that hits the spot. Tip: Arrive early or make a reservation in advance if you want to dine in the izakaya section — it fills up fast. ”

“ The dishes and vibes were so on point that one would have assumed the chef to either be Japanese or trained in Japan. We love the izakaya style as you can order multiple dishes and share them. We enjoyed the grilled mushrooms, the salmon belly, and assorted sashimi. The prices were very attractive for the quality and freshness of the dishes. The only dish I didn’t enjoy was the asparagus as the miso sauce overpowered the vegetables. Friendly service overall. Reservation is a must as the restaurant filled up very quickly within 15 mins of opening on a Sunday night. ”

“ Such a gem in Quebec City! The menu is fairly priced, incredibly flavourful and memorable. Drinks are extensive from crafted cocktails and mocktails, to wine, to sake tasting flights. We loved all we had - the sashimi was so fresh, the miso maple crème brûlée was next level don’t skip it - all bites were exceptional and didn’t break the bank. Highly recommend. ”

“ Cozy little place with a good vibe. The service is friendly and takes the time to present you the dishes served. Their recommendations look to be on-point too. One critique I would give is the menu of the moment. There wasn't any explanation or promotion of it. I happened to be sitted next to the chalk board that had it written so asked about it or I would have missed it. The cuisine is more fusion than traditional Izakaya, but the flavor is great. Out of the 5 dishes I ordered, only one was lacking a bit of flavor compared to the others that are oozing umami. ”
